🔅 Your body produces light at the cellular level—an intentional part of how God designed us. These tiny light particles, called biophotons, help cells communicate, respond to stress, and maintain order. They’re part of the body’s built-in system for health and healing, pointing to the wisdom in how we were created.
In the points below, you’ll learn what biophotons are, what they reveal about your health, and how faith-based practices can support the way God designed your body to function.
One of the questions I get asked most is: which binder do you recommend? With all the toxins we’re exposed to in our food, water, air, and daily products—binders have become one of my must-have supplements. In this post, I’m sharing my favorite one (and why it stands out from the rest), plus some fascinating facts about what might be stored in your tissues without you even knowing.⚡️
We often think about light in terms of warmth or brightness—but there's a measurable quality to light that plays a much deeper role in our health: lux. Lux is a unit that measures light intensity, and it directly influences everything from our energy and mood to hormones, sleep, and metabolism. In a world where we spend most of our time indoors, understanding lux can help us reconnect with a more natural rhythm and support our physiological needs. Here's a simple breakdown of why lux matters—and how to get more of the right kind of light in your daily life.
Hello my friend! The other day, I stumbled upon a phrase that resonated deeply: "fit, content, and abundant." This aptly described how I desired to feel and be. It also brought to mind various Biblical verses. Today, I want to share my revelations on how these words can impact your life in light of God's word.
The recent bread workshop we did in The Christian Health Club inspired me to branch out with my bread making. I’ve always milled my grain, dumped all of the ingredients in the bread machine, and set-it-and-forget-it until I have a beautiful 2-pound loaf of bread ready 3 hours later. It’s so simple.
But, Kerri showed us other fun options of what we can do with the dough. Come check it out! 🍞
Emily Morgan from Best Daily Prayer is our guest author to share with us how to win the fight against your mental health with these 10 practical tips that will uplift your spirit.
Despite a world full of conflicting and confusing dietary advice, the matter of what to eat is really very simple. God gave us plant foods and He gave us animal foods. The food He gave us is the food we are meant to eat. The Creator of our bodies made the perfect food for our bodies and He tells us exactly what that is. God is our Master Nutritionist and His Word is our dietary compass.
At the beginning of each new season in The Christian Health Club, we practice a 3-day detox that removes all meat, fish, eggs, dairy, nuts/seeds, grains, sugar and alcohol. Essentially this leaves you with vegetables, fruit and plant fats like avocados, olives and coconut. As much as I praise animal sourced foods and protein as a critical part of the diet, I recognize that periodically cycling them out is a healthy practice for the body.
You may have heard that a low carb diet can help you lose weight and feel great but do you know why?
You’re probably familiar with the concept of Detoxification but are you familiar with the concept of Drainage? Detox is what’s going on in the body to grab and process the toxins and drainage is what takes them out of the body. If the drainage pathways aren’t open and the toxins can’t get out, then they will recirculate, become more toxic and make you more sick.
Drainage MUST come before any detoxification protocol. Read on to learn more about the drainage pathways, how to optimize their “flow,” what symptoms may indicate yours are “clogged” and the current protocol I am using with clients to get the drainage pathways open.

One of the first books MY nutritionist recommended to me over 10 years ago was Life Without Bread. But I don’t want life without bread! It is one of my Heck Yeahs. There are very few (if any) healthy bread products. Bread in general is nutrient-devoid but energy-dense, and leads to blood sugar spikes and dips. But if you’re like me and enjoy a buttery piece of toast from time to time, then this guide to making upgraded bread choices is for you!
There’s something so satisfying about having a kitchen stocked full of clean basics and everyday go-tos. There’s a world of possibility behind the doors of your fridge and pantry when you keep it filled with good things. These are the foods that determine your body composition and health so it’s important to make good decisions about them at the store.
I get a lot of questions about what our family eats and what supplements we take. Our food is simple; our supplements can be complicated. LOL
We don’t take the same supplements day-in, day-out, all year long. I’m often changing things up based on seasonal and targeted health needs (allergies, gut health, hormones, flu-season, etc). Plus, I’m always personally experimenting.
The supplements I give my kids change and rotate, not quite as much as mine do, but they definitely vary. Below is what I have them doing right now. I’ll try to keep this updated and let you know when I change things in and out.
All calories are not created equal, and because of this, calories shouldn't be obsessed over. But when we use the My Fitness Pal app, it’s front and center and hard to avoid. It’s not bad to check in with your calories every once in a while… as long as you don’t become fanatical about it. Remember, it’s the way food affects your hormones that matters most.
Part of regarding The Bible as our Life Manual is also utilizing it as our Health Manual. Incorporating ancient practices into our modern lives keeps us grounded spiritually and physically. Fasting is a great way to experience this connection. It can be an incredibly effective strategy for weight loss, detoxification, and digestive resetting.
Macronutrients are like Jesus: the same yesterday, today, and forever. No matter what diet is popular, a food will be classified into one of those three categories.
It’s time to give the essential trace element zinc it’s well deserved spot in the limelight. Let’s take a look at what this amazing mineral does for your body and how to determine if you have enough of it!
Diets are kind of like denominations.
There are SO many, and everybody thinks theirs is THE right one.
Read this post to learn how assigning yourself to a Diet Denomination could be holding you back from your health goals and stealing your food peace. Let’s take it back to basics and eat how Jesus taught us to eat.
This is one of the most common questions I get when I recommend intermittent fasting. We’ve all heard that breakfast is THE most important meal of the day, right? It’s been drilled into our heads for years. The reasons why, however, may or may not apply to you. Let’s dig in.

Chelsea invited me to write this guest post after my appearance on Episode 18 of the Christian Health Club podcast: Why Hidden Mold Is Wrecking Your Health. I know mold can seem like a lot of doom and gloom, but it doesn’t have to be. Let’s empower ourselves with .knowledge so we can treat problems and prevent them well.
Vegetable oils like canola oil, soybean, and cottonseed used to be all the rage. Luckily, consumers are wising up to those marketing tactics, but you may still be confused about what oils are actually healthy. In today’s blogpost, I’m giving you the deets on which oils are the best choices!
