Drainage Before Detox

You’re probably familiar with the concept of Detoxification but are you familiar with the concept of Drainage?  Detox is what’s going on in the body to grab and process the toxins and drainage is what takes them out of the body. If the drainage pathways aren’t open and the toxins can’t get out, then they will recirculate, become more toxic and make you more sick.

Drainage MUST come before any detoxification protocol. Read on to learn more about the drainage pathways, how to optimize their “flow,” what symptoms may indicate yours are “clogged” and the current protocol I am using with clients to get the drainage pathways open.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

#1. The Colon

Your colon, or large intestine, is at the bottom of the drainage funnel. If your colon is backed up, everything upstream from it can become backed up as well. When you’re constipated, you will have a backlog of toxins that are trapped in the body recirculating and making you more toxic. You must poop regularly (1-3 times a day) for the toxins to be removed.

Make sure you are hydrated, eating vegetables for fiber, chewing your food well and sitting down when you eat so that your body can better digest.

#2. Liver and Bile Ducts

Your liver processes toxins and releases them into your bile or blood. Toxins moved into your blood are filtered through your kidneys and eliminated in your urine. Toxins moved into your bile are ultimately released into your digestive tract to be excreted through the bowels. Think of your bile as a river of toxins, that river needs to be flowing, moving the toxins along and out of the body. When that river becomes slow, sludgy or stagnant, the toxins can’t be taken out. If your liver can’t push the bile into your bowels to be eliminated from the colon, then a “trapdoor” opens to release it into your bloodstream. The toxic bile acids can end up damaging other organs like your kidneys, lung and skin. Itchy inflamed skin is often caused by toxic bile acids. The bile must be flowing and the bile ducts open.

Make sure you are including healthy fats in your diet which help make bile and keep it moving.

#3. Lymphatic System

Your lymphatic system is like the highway system for the trash trucks that carry waste from your tissues, deliver them to be processed by the kidneys and liver, and get dumped out of your system through peeing and pooping. Your blood vessels essentially “leak” several liters of  fluid a day into your tissues. Your lymph nodes filter out things like viruses, bacteria and toxins, collect the fluid and return it to your blood for further processing. If the lymph isn’t flowing and moving well, the trash can get stuck in your highways. Unfortunately, this is common. The lymph doesn’t “pump” like the cardiovascular system. Poor lymphatic movement results in toxicity and tissue swelling. Sluggish lymph is linked to increased cellulite if the lymph gets stuck in the fat tissue.

  • Exercise is one of the key ways to help keep your lymphatic system flowing and doing its job. Jumping is especially good - a trampoline, rebounder or jump rope can really stimulate movement in the lymph.

  • You can also use a vibration plate -  aka “The Shaker” - to get things moving.

  • Massage and dry brushing help stimulate lymph flow.

  • Infrared saunas can help “warm up” your lymphatic fluid and get it flowing better.

  • Herbs like burdock root and astragulus help support lymphatic flow.
    I use this one.

#4. Organs and Tissues

The organ of focus here is your brain. It has its own lymph-type system called the glymphatic system which clears cellular wastes and fluids. Your glial cells play a big role in cleansing your brain tissue and draining out the trash. This process is key for preventing trash build up in the brain which can lead to neurological conditions. The glymphatic system helps prevent a build-up of amyloid-beta proteins which is associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

This activity of brain cleansing mostly happens while you are sleeping. During the day, your brain is busy processing information, so garbage collection is a low priority. But at night, your brain detox system comes alive and that is why it is so critical to make sleep a priority.

#5. Cells

Your cells are at the very top of the drainage funnel. It’s important that everything below is working so that waste and toxins don’t accumulate in your cells. If they do, it can cause mitochondrial dysfunction. Remember that mitochondria are the powerhouses of your cells. They produce the energy your cells need to do their job. It’s like they’re making the fuel for the garbage trucks picking up the waste. If you don’t have the fuel, your garbage trucks can’t pick up the trash and it’s going to sit around in your house. You need good mitochondrial function to supply energy for drainage and detox. The cells in your liver, your kidney, your brain and your colon all need good mitochondrial function to power the drainage process.  If your cells get gunked up and damage your mitochondria, these processes can’t happen and it will keep you toxic.

Common Symptoms of Drainage Dysfunction:
Constipation
Feel full while eating and after meals
Diminished appetite
Feel like bowels do not completely evacuate
General or chronic fatigue
Mood problems, anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder
Poor brain processing power/poor cognition/brain fog
Chronic inflammation
Waking up between 1-4 am
Edema or swelling
Skin problems like rashes, itches, hives, eczema, or acne, yellowish skin
Suppressed immune system
Can’t clear infections despite pathogen protocols
Soreness or swollen breast tissue
Heart palpitations or irregular heartbeat
Light/sound/EMF sensitivities
Morning stiffness
Swollen glands
Cellulite or flabby skin
Varicose or spider veins
Kidney problems
Breathing or lung issues
Skin doesn’t sweat
Retain extra fluids

Advanced Tudca: TUDCA helps stimulate the release of bile into your gut and detox a whole range of potentially harmful substances, including those generated during metabolic processes and contaminants from your food and the environment

Biotoxin Binder: BioToxin Binder acts as a chelator that focuses on binding and removing radiation, viruses, retroviruses and more. It helps to support sulfur pathways and regulate the proper creation of sulfur metabolite to avoid inflammation and sensitivities. It also helps restore the tissues with organic material that is needed for cellular function by utilizing short-chain active carbon molecules

Bowel Mover: This is the perfect blend of ingredients in the proper ratio designed to provide non-habit-forming, safe, effective digestive support. Bowel Mover is specifically designed to help promote digestive and detox support while executing its primary function of supporting proper bowel function.

CT Minerals: This has over 69 naturally occurring, plant-derived trace minerals and twelve amino acids, is highly bioactive and can perform numerous biochemical and metabolic detoxification functions. The organically complexed nano-sized molecules can penetrate human tissue and blood cells easily.

Many people can benefit from doing a drainage support protocol. If you are interested in ordering these supplements, go here and use the code CAYDJR57
