Hello my friends! On today’s episode I am discussing metabolic flexibility, and why it does NOT take a magic potion to burn both fat and carbs efficiently! Tune in to find our why we tend to live in a perpetual carb burning mode, and how to teach the body to enter fat burning using real food, fasting, and common sense. Don’t train your body to become reliant on a program that you can’t sustain. My view is, let’s train it for the long haul!

(0:00) Intro

(0:44) Welcome friends!

o Introducing today’s topic: Fat Burning Training!

o   Join the club: Feast 2 Fast is a 4-week metabolic makeover that trains the body to burn both fat and carbs.

(1:14) Why carbs are what most people burn…

o   We tend to live in a perpetual carb burning mode because people serious underestimate their carb intake.

o   Two things we need to understand:

  • All carbs breakdown into sugar.

  • The body will burn carbs before it burns fat.

o   People seriously underestimate the amount of carbs they are getting.

o   The body will burn carbs before it burns fat.

o   It is too easy to eat more carbs than you realize.

(2:28) The first step in teaching your body to use fat…dial back on the carbs.

o   Dialing back does not mean plummeting them into non-existence!

o   The fault with going with the extremes:

  • Difficult to sustain

  • Makes the body unable to process a normal carb load

o   Ketogenic diet

(3:44) Falling into the temptation of “diets” and “systems” that are generally vague

o   Marketing ploys on social media

o   Throwing out the fishing line so that you’ll bite!

o   Can you sustain this?

o   Don’t train your body in a way that it becomes reliant on something you can’t sustain.

o   My view is, let’s train it for the long haul!

o   It does not take a magic potion to burn both fat and carbs efficiently.

o   I am fat burning right now as we speak!
