218: Metabolic Oxidative Priority
Oxidative Priority is the order in which your body burns fuel and this is important for understanding how your body burns fat (or doesn’t burn fat). This is the order it prioritizes:
1. Alcohol
2. Exogenous Ketones
3. Carbs (sugar)
4. Protein (IF you need to make sugar, but it’s not your body’s preferred way to use it)
5. Fat
This means you have to get through quite a bit of fuel before your body utilizes fat. In this week’s episode, we’re talking about how to optimize your body’s oxidative process so that you can burn both fat and carbs (sugar) efficiently. Listen in and learn how to optimize metabolic flexibility.
217: Full Moon Cleanses
There is so much full moon cleanse hype lately! Should you do one? (hint: not til you do a longer protocol first). Why during the full moon? (hint: parasites are more active and you have a better shot at killing them.) Why are parasites more active during a full moon? (hint: the earth is more electrically charged).

216: Leptin, Meal Timing and Fasting
Most people don’t realize that the primary role of leptin is to regulate body fat. It is the major hormone that determines hunger, fat burning and fat storage. Unfortunately, many people are leptin resistant which means their bodies don’t get the proper signaling for efficient energy (fat) management.
In this week’s episode we’re talking about signs of leptin resistance and things to do about it including tweaking your meal timing, fasting and other circadian cues. Come listen and learn how to make your body more efficient at regulating body fat!

I never in a million years thought I would be taking classes on quantum biology to help me better understand the way that God made our body. This week’s podcast is with one of my teachers, Carrie Bennett, who so beautifully explains what quantum biology is and how it impacts our health. She says, “Reading the Bible with this level of knowledge of quantum biology is so amazing. There are so many clues with what God is telling us!”
I agree. It’s what I call ‘The Genesis Prescription’ and Carrie’s teaching has been instrumental in helping me integrate the science into my Biblical foundation.

In this week’s episode we’re talking more about making wheat bread! Expert baker and teacher Maureen Diaz of God’s Good Table shares her best breadmaking ingredients, books and methods. She also explains why we need to take the preparation a step further with soaking and/or natural fermentation (ie: sourdough or poolish (her main method)) in order to neutralize harmful gut irritants, promote better digestion and enhance the flavor of the bread.
