Upgraded Avocado Brownies & My "Heck Yeah" Strategy

🍫 Y’all. Brownies happen. I’m realistic. And I wanna be a normal human and just roll with it! Here’s my strategy:

🍬 1. I don’t eat food that isn’t worth it to me. I call this my “Heck Yeah” principle. I’m a baked goods kind of gal, not a candy person. So why eat candy when it’s not my thing? I stay within my Heck Yeahs when it comes to treat foods. Candy, no. Brownies, heck yeah! Be discerning and don’t settle for less than what you really love.

⏰ 2. I fast and eat sugar detox friendly foods most of the time, so I have the wiggle room to add in splurges when I want them. No guilt here, sister.

🥑 3. I upgrade my choices where I can. These brownies are gluten and grain free and have avocado as a major ingredient!!! The recipe is below if you want to get the deets. 🔎

Food peace is rad, my friend. It’s one of the reasons I created my Feast 2 Fast 4 Week Metabolic Makeover program. Because if your diet isn’t sustainable for your “real life”, you won’t get the results you crave. ✌🏻

Now without further ado, onto the recipe…

  2. Add the avocado, eggs, vanilla, coconut sugar and ghee to a food processor or blender and mix well until combined.

  3. 2. Add the almond flour, cacao powder, baking soda and sea salt. Process again until combined.

  4. Stir in the chocolate chips, reserving some to place on top.

  5. Line a 9 X 9 pan with parchment paper and pour brownie batter in.

  6. Smooth the top down and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.

  7. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing (makes 16 servings). Enjoy!
