Detox Lemonade


This recipe is courtesy of my friend and fellow nutritional therapist, Leslie Bumpas of Redeeming Wellness. She loves using this detox lemonade every morning to giver her liver a healthy jumpstart.   • 1 quart pure, filtered water (not distilled)

  • 1 organic lemon, washed and quartered

  • 4 TBSP organic extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 TBSP Bragg’s Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1-4 squirts of vanilla stevia , to taste (liquid, not powdered)



  1. Using a VitaMix or Nutri-Bullet type of blender, add H20, quartered lemon, and EVOO.

  2. Blend on high until completely emulsified.

  3. Pour through strainer into a glass or steel pitcher.

  4. Dispose of the pulp.

  5. Now add the ACV and the stevia to taste. It should be tart, not overly sweet.

  6. Drink 3-4 oz. each morning upon rising, before breakfast or coffee.

You may also add a TBSP of MCT oil or liquid minerals at the end.
